Prior to founding Caelum Labs he was de founder of Alastria, the Spanish blockchain association that was the first National-wide semi-public blockchain platform in the world, with a strategic approach of promoting the collaboration between private sector, public administrations and the academic

José Gefaell
managing partner
More than 30 years’ experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, FinTech, Economic Policy, Turn-arounds, M&A, and Venture Capital. Origination of sales and execution skills combined with high-level relationships with banks, private equity funds, corporates, regulators, supervisors and administrations. From 2012 to 2017 he was Director General at Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), the promotional wholesale bank owned by the Spanish Government.

(ex Grupo Gas Natural Fenosa). Before Naturgy, he was General Director at
Origin Technologies and Chief Information Officer at Philips Electronics. MSc Engineer of Telco; MSc in Physics; Master in Computer Sciences (Stanford University); Master in Business Administration
(MBA) by IESE.
